Publishing

We do not rent the audience. We publish to it.

PPM owns and publishes two editorial titles. They are where a large part of our investor and business audience came from in the first place, which is why a campaign run through us does not start from a cold list.

The titles

Two audiences, two titles, both of them ours

Each was built for a specific audience and each sits behind a specific part of what we sell. They are not content marketing for the agency. They are publications with their own readers.

Investing, property and personal finance, explained properly

Who reads it
Self-directed and experienced private investors, property investors and landlords, and people actively managing their own pension, ISA and portfolio decisions.

Sits behind

HNW investor acquisition

The investor audience we activate is not a list we rent for a campaign and hand back. A good part of it opted in to a title we publish.

Sits behind

B2B data and multi-channel outbound

Running a title into the same audience we prospect means we see what senior people in a sector actually open, before we write a sequence aimed at them.

Why it matters commercially

Owning the title changes the arithmetic

The consent is ours

A subscriber opted in to us directly. That is a stronger lawful basis than a rented list, and it is a basis we can evidence to you rather than ask a provider for.

We know what they read

Targeting on behaviour beats targeting on demographics. Publishing gives us the behaviour: what gets opened, what gets finished, what gets forwarded.

No media owner in the middle

Placement is priced by us because the title is ours. There is no platform margin and no minimum spend set by somebody else.

Earned trust, not bought attention

An investor who has read the title for four years is a warmer audience than an investor who has seen an advert four times. The difference shows up in reply rates.

Publishing capability

What running a title actually requires

All of this sits in house, which is why the same team can produce a client's report, place it, and then run outbound off the back of it.

  1. 01

    Editorial

Commissioning, writing and editing to a house style, on a publishing schedule, in subjects that need to be got right. Financial and business copy that a knowledgeable reader will not bounce off.

  2. 02

    Design and production

Brand systems, page design, report and whitepaper layout, and the asset production that turns an argument into something a reader will download and keep.

  3. 03

    Audience building

Subscriber acquisition through paid social, native, search and content gating, with consent captured at the point of sign up and held by us.

  4. 04

    Distribution

Email, on site, social and native. The same piece is worked across channels rather than published once and left to find its own readers.

  5. 05

    Measurement

Open, click and read-through data by segment, feeding back into what we commission next and into the targeting on client campaigns.

  6. 06

    Governance

Consent records, suppression, unsubscribe handling and a clear separation between editorial and commercial content, so a placement is always identifiable as one.

Working with the titles

What you can buy, and what each one is good for

Most clients start with one format to test the audience, then stack the rest around whichever one produced the best conversations.

Sponsored editorial

A piece written to your argument, published in the title, labelled as sponsored, and distributed to the subscriber base alongside the rest of that issue.

Best for Credibility with an audience that will not click an advert

Newsletter placement

Your message inside an email the reader opted in to receive, rather than a cold send they did not. Positions range from a lead slot to a sponsor strip.

Best for Reach without the deliverability risk of a cold list

Co-branded report

A research piece or market report produced by our editorial and design team, carrying both brands, gated so every download is a named lead.

Best for Lead capture at the top of a long sales cycle

Content gating

Your existing whitepaper or report hosted behind a form on the title and promoted into the audience. Leads come to you with the piece they downloaded attached.

Best for Getting an asset you already own in front of new readers

Audience activation

Campaign targeting modelled on the title's engaged readers and run across email, LinkedIn, native and paid social, with the telephone team behind it.

Best for Scale, once a format has proved it converts

Full programme

Editorial, report, newsletter and outbound sequenced as one campaign over a quarter, so the same reader meets a consistent story four or five times.

Best for Entering a market where nobody knows your name yet

How we use them ourselves

The titles are the engine behind the service lines

A client buying lead generation from us is not only buying a calling team and a data licence. They are buying access to audiences we built over four years of publishing, and to the engagement history that sits behind those audiences.

That is what lets us model a lookalike against people who actually read about a subject rather than people who merely match a job title. It is what lets us tell you, before you commit budget, whether a segment has ever responded to an argument like yours. And it is why the owned tier of our data provenance is a real tier rather than a line on a slide.

Where the titles stop

  • Our titles are media publications. They are not regulated financial services businesses, they do not give advice, and we do not run regulated investment promotions through them. Where a client's own content requires approval by an authorised person, that approval is the client's responsibility and we will ask to see it before publication.
  • Commercial content is always labelled as commercial. We will not publish a placement as though it were editorial, because the day a reader works that out is the day the audience is worth nothing to anybody.
  • The subscriber base is ours and stays ours. You get the leads a campaign produces and the reporting behind them. You do not get the list.

Want to see the audience before you commit to anything?

Tell us the reader you are trying to reach and we will come back with which title fits, what the format would be and what it costs.
